What Are Skills Bootcamps?

Skills Bootcamps are flexible, intensive training programmes of up to 16 weeks, designed for adults (aged 19 and over) who are looking to develop industry-specific skills and advance their careers.

Developed in collaboration with employers, these programmes are tailored to meet current industry demands. They offer practical, hands-on-training and dedicated support, helping learners build the skills, knowledge and confidence needed to progress into new roles, gain promotion or to change careers.

What Are Skills Bootcamps?

Skills Bootcamps are flexible, intensive training programmes lasting up to 16 weeks, designed for adults (aged 19 and over) to develop sector-specific skills and fast-track career progression.

Developed in collaboration with employers to ensure that they meet industry needs, Skills Bootcamps provide structured, practical training and support to help adults gain the skills and confidence needed to take the next step in their career.

Who Are Skills Bootcamps For?

Skills Bootcamps are open to:

  • Learners aged 19+ and living in West Sussex or Brighton & Hove.
  • Adults in work with their employer’s agreement or who are who are seeking a career change or transition into a new industry.
  • Adults who are self-employed looking to grow their business. (self-employed learners who meet the eligibility criteria can access the programme for free).
  • Adults who are unemployed or looking to return to work and gain employment in a new industry.
  • Adults who have lived in England for at least three consecutive years and have the right to work in the UK (exceptions apply for Ukraine or Afghanistan nationals).
  • Adults who are not currently enrolled in any formal education, including another Skills Bootcamp.

If you’re an employer looking to upskill your workforce, Skills Bootcamps can help your staff gain new skills for emerging roles or enhance their current roles.  Employers can benefit from significantly reduced course fees, subject to learners meeting the required eligibility criteria.
