Upskill your team.

Faster than ever before.

Apprenticeship units are short, flexible, government-funded training programmes, and Chichester College Group is approved to deliver them from day one.

Close your critical skills gaps in AI, leadership, green energy and engineering without the multi-year commitment.

⚠ ACT NOW: Your levy funds expire faster from August 2026

Under the new Growth and Skills Levy, unspent funds expire after 12 months (down from 24). Apprenticeship units are the fastest way to put your levy to work on high-impact training before it lapses.

WHAT ARE APPRENTICESHIP UNITS?

Big skills impact. Small time commitment.

Launched by the Department for Education as part of the £725 million Growth and Skills Levy, apprenticeship units are short, modular courses drawn from existing apprenticeship occupational standards. They run for 30 to 140 delivery hours, as little as one week, and are 100% funded through your levy or the government’s co-investment scheme.

Unlike full apprenticeships, units are assessed by your training provider, so there are no external assessment delays. Additionally, they count as Recognised Prior Learning, meaning they can stack into a full qualification when your team is ready.

Units count as Recognised Prior Learning toward full apprenticeships. Invest now and your team has a clear progression route when they’re ready for more.

Multi-campus delivery

HOW LEVY FUNDING WORKS

Use your levy before it lapses.

From April 2026, levy‑paying employers can spend their funds on apprenticeship units. Non‑levy employers (SMEs) contribute just 5% through co‑investment, with the government funding the remainder. As the new 12‑month expiry rule comes into force in August 2026, acting early ensures your investment benefits your people rather than returning to the Treasury.
