Skills Bootcamps

Skills Bootcamps are flexible, intensive training programmes lasting up to 16 weeks, designed for adults (aged 19 and over) to develop sector-specific skills and fast-track career progression.

Developed in collaboration with employers to ensure that they meet industry needs, Skills Bootcamps provide structured, practical training and support to help adults gain the skills and confidence needed to take the next step in their career.

What Are Skills Bootcamps?

Skills Bootcamps are flexible, intensive training programmes lasting up to 16 weeks, designed for adults (aged 19 and over) to develop sector-specific skills and fast-track career progression.

Who Are Skills Bootcamps For?

Skills Bootcamps are open to:

  • Learners aged 19 or over:

on or before 31 August 2024 for bootcamps starting between 01 April 2025 and 31 July 2025

on or before 31 August 2025 for bootcamps starting between 01 August 2025 and 31 March 2026.

  • Adults in work with employer agreement or self-employed professionals looking to grow their business.
  • Adults recently unemployed or returning to work who want to secure a job in a new sector.
  • Adults who have lived in England for at least three consecutive years and have the right to work in the UK (exceptions apply for Ukraine or Afghanistan nationals).
  • Adults not currently enrolled in formal education, including another Skills Bootcamp.
  • Employed adults seeking a career change or transition into a new sector.
