Vicki Illingworth

Executive Principal and Deputy Chief Executive, CCG

Vicki Illingworth is Executive Principal and Deputy Chief Executive at CCG. 

Vicki joined Chichester College in 2001 as an Associate Lecturer in Geography, Travel and Tourism. After moving into a full-time teaching role, she has progressed through several middle and senior leadership roles. Vicki is passionate about inclusivity and is an expert in curriculum development and planning, safeguarding and SEND, developing Chichester College’s provision of additional support, pastoral support and safeguarding for students. 

Vicki moved from her role as Assistant Principal at Chichester College to Crawley following merger with Central Sussex College in August 2017. As Principal at Crawley, her vision to ensure access to high quality education and experience for the community in Crawley has driven improvements recognised by Ofsted in early monitoring visits and inspection in 2020. She is passionate about making a difference. 

The passion was reflected in role and the experience gained as Chair of WSCC Alternative Provision, since moving on from this role, Vicki is on the Board of Trustees for Chichester Festival Theatre and Creative Crawley. She is also chair of the cultural education partnership in West Sussex – Creative County West Sussex.   
 
Originally from Cheshire, she is a graduate of the University College Chichester, where she studied a degree in Geography before gaining her PGCE and MSc in Education Management from the University of Portsmouth. Every day is a learning day and most recently, Vicki has enjoyed studying at the Said Business School in Oxford.
